A new exhibit on Chicana/os and Latina/os in the mystery genre is currently on display. The display includes works by mystery authors Alex Abella, Max Apodaca, Rodolfo Anaya, Lucha Corpi, Alicia Gaspar de Alba, Rolando Hinojosa, Michael Nava, Manuel Ramos and others.
Also included are works on Michigan’s first Chicano sleuths: Elmore Leonard’s Sgt. Raymond Cruz of the Detroit Homicide Division in City Primeval and Doug Allyn’s tough Detroit cop Lupe Garcia in The Cheerio Killings and Motown Underground.
