Renovations Update: Forecast for the week - Construction Resumes

Carpet will be installed on Monday. There could be some fumes in addition to some noise. On Tuesday, installation of the compact shelving units starts again. Workers will bring in material and start to assemble the shelves. It will be noisy and some more possible dust. We're also vacuuming off our books so expect a little noise there too. The only computers available to use are in our computer lab (Room 22). Also, remember that only staff are allowed in the stacks. Stop by the desk if you need to find Room 22 or need a book. Now through Summer 2010


This exhibit displays sixteen original antique maps from the MSU Map Library collection. They show the evolution of British, French, Italian, and US understanding of midwest geography and shows the development of forts, villages, counties, and roads.

The new floor is done. Carpet will be installed next week. This week we will not have any construction so it will be quiet around here! 2021 pages of redacted documents on the FBI's investigation of Cesar E. Chavez, the UFW and others associated with the union are available online. It is alleged that Chavez and the UFW first came to be of interest to the FBI in 1965 when rumors of Communist affiliations surfaced.
