New carpet should be installed this week. It looks like it will be installed Thursday, July 29 barring any unforeseen circumstances. There could be fumes and some noise associated with this. We're continuing to move and vacuum books. Books still must be paged by requesting them from the front desk. The shelves are in! Now the workers are tweaking the system that moves them to make sure it operates properly. We are also starting to interfile our books and journals into one call number run starting on the new compact shelving. We're still vacuuming too. We'll be vacuuming the public computers this week too so we hope to have those fully operational very soon. Books still must be requested from the front desk.
