You are invited to attend a free training session for the Euromonitor Packaging database in Room 100 Packaging from 11:30 - 1:00 PM on Friday, Sept.15.

The packaging database from Euromonitor is a great resource for finding statistics regarding packaging use around the world. Christopher Ohlhoff from Euromonitor will present.

The library has an extended trial of the Packaging database through December 9, 2006. To have access to the database during the trial period, faculty and students will need to contact Nancy Lucas for more information at 432-4180.

MSU libraries recently acquired JSTOR's Business II collection.

Business II

(to be completed by the end of 2008)

The Business II Collection will feature at least fifty titles, twenty-five of which will be drawn from Arts & Sciences IV and the Arts & Sciences Complement. We are especially pleased to broaden the number of core international business titles in this collection. Business II also includes a number of journals that explore the intersections between economics and law, policy, and psychology.

ComScore offers web-wide visitation and transaction behavior from a random sample of over 1.5 million Internet users in the United States. Provides insight on Internet consumer behavior with demographics, transaction, and session data from 2002 and 2004.

Access to ComScore is available through the Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS). Only eligible graduate students and faculty members in the Broad College of Business may have access and need to click here to request an account. The Chinese State Council Information Office, publisher of China Daily, the official English-language newspaper, is a major Accoona stockholder. WRDS Downtime

The WRDS system will have reduced service on Sunday, July 2nd from 8pm to 11pm (EDT).

During the downtime, WRDS users will only be able to use the web interface and large databases such as CRSP, Compustat, and IBES. User account functions, UNIX shell and SAS/Connect will not be available during the downtime.

Kara Gust is the newest member of the Business Library team, filling Sue Shultz's previous position. She will be overseeing collections in and providing instruction for Advertising, Marketing & Supply Chain Management, and Management. Kara is new to the Business Library, but not to the MSU Libraries. For the past three years, she has worked in the Main Library as Assistant Instruction Coordinator, providing instruction to numerous WRAC classes and a variety of orientations and resource fairs. She earned her BS in English, with a minor in Business, from Central Michigan University...
