William C. Gast Business Library News & Events
The Gast Business Library will host an international tea on Tuesday, March 11, from 2–4 p.m. in Room 13 at the Business Library. This event provides an opportunity for students in particular to meet the business librarians and learn more about the services the library provides, but all are welcome. Tea, coffee, and snacks will be served. Contact Emily Treptow, business librarian, with any questions.
Faculty, staff, and students now have access to Business Monitor International. BrowZine is a free tablet app from Third Iron that lets you browse, read, and monitor journals to which the MSU Libraries have an online subscription. With the app, you can:
Create a bookshelf of your favorite journals for quick & easy access Read articles in a format optimized for a tablet device Get alerts when new journal issues are published Save articles to Zotero, Dropbox, or an app of your choice for pdf collecting and notetaking Share links to articles via email, Facebook, or Twitter
BrowZine is currently available for the iPad and three Android devices...
Continue reading "Read journals on your tablet with BrowZine"...The BizMiner database will undergo maintenance starting at 11:00 pm ET on Friday, October 18th. This will likely cause unusual sluggishness in site navigation and longer than normal report loading times. We apologize for any temporary inconvenience and anticipate that normal operations and speeds will resume by 3:30 PM ET on Saturday, October 19. Thanks for your patience and understanding.
Faculty, staff, and students now have access to PolicyMap, an online data and mapping application that provides access to more than 15,000 indicators related to housing, crime, mortgages, health, jobs, demographics, and education. It is a great resource for researching potential markets for a business. Access PolicyMap through the Gast Business Library's Business Electronic Resources page.
