Grace Morris is the Imaging/Digitization Specialist in the Gerald M. Kline Digital Multimedia Center and G. Robert Vincent Voice Library at MSU Libraries, and she has worked at MSU Libraries for 12.5 years.

Morris is a client/account representative, and she is responsible for digitization standards and practices, project management and quality control, and supervision of 27 undergraduate student employees.

She served on the Support Staff Advisory Group (SSAG) committee from 2012-2014, and she will soon be a member of the newly formed Digital Preservation Working Group...

Tyler Smeltekop is the Course Materials Program Manager at MSU Libraries, and he has worked for the library for eight years.

Smeltekop supervises a super squad of library employees who work with faculty to provide access to necessary content for their courses, as inexpensively and conveniently as possible for students. He advises faculty and librarians on copyright issues in the classroom and manages several different operational models that we use to mediate course content.

Erin Weller is Head of Patron Services at MSU Libraries. She started out as a student employee in the Circulation department and has worked at MSU Libraries for nearly sixteen years.

As Head of Patron Services, Weller independently oversees and coordinates all activities for the Library’s Patron Services department including late night operations. MSU’s Digital Scholarship Lab First of Its Kind in U.S.

 

A state-of-the-art Digital Scholarship Lab (DSL) that includes a 360-degree immersive visualization room, the first of its kind at any university in the United States, will officially open at Michigan State University’s Main Library on Monday, February 5, with several opening week events planned for February 5-9.

During the fall semester 2017, Librarian Sara Miller was awarded the 2017 Ronald W. Wilson Endowed Teaching Award. The award was formally announced at the MSU College of Natural Science faculty meeting in November 2017, and a reception was held afterwards to celebrate.

Prior to joining the MSU Libraries team in August 2017, Robin Ford earned her Bachelor of Arts degrees in German and International Studies as well as a minor in Women and Gender Studies from the University of Alaska Anchorage. She also studied Gender Studies at Humboldt University in Berlin during a Fulbright year and earned her Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Washington in Seattle in 2017.
