With the success of recent podcasts such as NPR’s Serial, it appears this medium has finally hit its stride and is finally delivering on its earlier promise. People are increasingly listening to podcasts and they can also be valuable as an educational tool. With their rising popularity, there is a podcast for everyone’s taste. Business Insider recently released an article titled “17 Podcasts That Will Make You Smarter.” This list includes Ira Glass’ wildly popular “This American Life”, “Freakanomics Radio”, based on the New York Times Bestselling book Freakanomics, and “WTF” a podcast about success.
