#2 My Life with Things: The Consumer Diaries by Elizabeth ChinCall #: HF 5415.32 .C456 2016 Reviewed by: Business Library Student Employee Rating: 9/10 I really enjoyed this book because of the raw honesty of the author, especially relating to aspects of femininity. Since reading it, I have continually related to her ideas and analogies about consumerism in my own life. This book allowed me to begin to take a personal approach to the content and has left me thinking critically about my objects and my relationship to capitalism. The book is a little slow to start, but it picks up quickly and is a great read if you enjoy personal essays. |
