The emergence and rise of the internet and adaptive technologies have dramatically changed the environment in which businesses and consumers coexist. This year’s undergraduate initiatives at the Broad College will largely revolve around supporting initiatives which prepare students for the new digital economy.

William C. Gast was a compassionate businessman who believed in bringing the high ideals he lived by to the family-run business he managed for more than 40 years. A leader in the southwestern Michigan business community, Mr. Gast led his company to prosperity by following the simple tenets of life's most basic rule - treat others as you might hope to be treated.

With the success of recent podcasts such as NPR’s Serial, it appears this medium has finally hit its stride and is finally delivering on its earlier promise. People are increasingly listening to podcasts and they can also be valuable as an educational tool. With their rising popularity, there is a podcast for everyone’s taste. The Gast Business Library will be offering events to help you get through finals!

Therapy dogs will be available for stress relief. These trained, certified therapy dogs give students an opportunity to “paws” for a fun break!

When: Monday, May 4 and Tuesday, May 5 from 1-3pm

Where: Room 13 in the Business Library

We will also be hosting a Night of A Thousand Donuts on Monday, May 4 at 8pm. Get excited for tasty treats and coffee.

The Main Library will also be providing events to help you survive finals!
